Lisa is a writer, deviser and director passionate about producing innovative, visceral theatre that speaks to a new generation of theatre-goers, with a particular focus towards physical, visual and experiential theatre.

 

Her passion for playwriting was ignited when she was accepted onto Transmissions at Birmingham Rep in 2006. As a young writer, she wrote her first professional piece that was performed at The Door as part of the Transmissions Festival.

 

She has since worked at mac (Birmingham), The Belgrade Theatre (Coventry) The Core at Corby Cube (Northamptonshire), and Cambridge Junction during which time she has written and directed several One Act Plays. She has worked collaboratively with a range of artists and theatre companies to create work predominately with disaffected, at risk young people.

 

She was recently awarded an Arts Council England, Grants for the Arts to write and direct a new piece, On Road, a new collobration between Lisa, Impulse Collective and Sally Cook.
